How much Omega-3s should be taken to achieve a certain clinical outcome? This 2006 study looks at the long-term use of over the counter pain medications for joint pain. The researchers used EPA and DHA in a 2-3 gram dose over time and measured it against over the counter non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and by using them together, once the initial symptoms began to dissipate they were able to decrease the use of the over the counter meds. By using clinical nutrition in a dosed response manner the symptoms did not recur or were less severe.

This assures me that using PRN De over time has probably made my arthritis symptoms less severe than they may have been without using the PRN supplement.
